European Chess Academy is proud to announce the signing of a contract with the well-known chess patron Eugeny Ushakov.

Mr Ushakov has become the main sponsor of the World Senior Chess Championship 2018 in Bled, while supporting a variety of other national tournaments and other Slovenian chess events.

Yet, this is not the whole scope of his support. Mr Ushakov will support chess schools across the state, we are preparing a book about a grandmaster Albin Planinc and the Academy is going to help depriviliged and socially disadvantaged chess players. The majority of our projects are focused on youth and seniors – chess players who have returned to their beloved game during retirement, like Mr Ushakov himself.
